Welcome to the website that focuses on the philosopher Ernest Renan. On this website, the emphasis lies on providing information on the ideas of what a nation is, according Ernest Renan. The purpose of this project/website is to place the definition Renan has given in context of the Japanstudies course 21st century Japan, and Philosophy of science. We will do this by comparing his ideas to Collingwood's chapter about Hegel.
